On the afternoon of October 9, 2025, the fifth and fourth session of the membership meeting of the Wenzhou Fastener Industry Association and the 20th anniversary celebration were held at the Hilton Hotel in Wenzhou City. More than 350 representatives from government departments, sister associations and member enterprises gathered together to jointly witness the 20-year journey of the association and draw up a new blueprint for the industry.
On the afternoon of October 9, 2025, the fifth and fourth session of the membership meeting of the Wenzhou Fastener Industry Association and the 20th anniversary celebration were held at the Hilton Hotel in Wenzhou City. The venue was filled with guests, and the atmosphere of communication was very lively. More than 350 representatives from government departments, sister associations, and member enterprises gathered together. The Chinese Screw Network was present to offer congratulations and jointly witnessed the 20-year journey of the association's progress and drew up a new blueprint for the industry.
Wang Chengju, the president of the China General Machinery and Components Industry Association, delivered the opening speech. He highly affirmed the "balancing stone" role of the Wenzhou fastener industry in the national landscape and expressed the hope that the association, marking its 20th anniversary, would continue to play the role of a bridge and link, and promote the development of China's fastener industry towards higher-end, intelligent and green directions.
Subsequently, the representatives attending the meeting watched the 20th anniversary promotional video of the association. The few minutes of visuals captured the transformation of Wenzhou fastener industry from a "family workshop" to a "hidden champion", from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing" from 2005 to 2025. It showcased the indomitable and proactive spirit of Wenzhou fastener enterprises.
In his keynote speech titled "Striving Forward, Innovating Development, and Writing a New Chapter for the Wenzhou Fastener Industry Association", President Ji Shaofeng mentioned that the association, starting from 7 founding units in 2005, has grown to have over 320 member units today. Over the past 20 years, the association has received numerous honors including the "Outstanding Import and Export Fair Trade Unit of Wenzhou", "Advanced Unit of the 'Three-level Joint Creation' Activity", "Advanced Unit of Wenzhou Industry Association (Business Association)", "City-level Industry Association with Outstanding Performance", "Demonstration Point for Serving Economic Transformation", and "Advanced Industry Association". At the same time, it witnessed and contributed to Wenzhou's attainment of the title of "City of Fasteners".
In the "Work Report of the Fifth and Third Session of the Association's Member Congress", it was emphasized that the association actively carried out the work of party building leadership, strengthened service empowerment, promoted exhibition promotion and self-construction improvement, helped member enterprises enhance their competitiveness, break through industry bottlenecks, and injected new vitality into the association's services.
During the conference, all the representatives deliberated and approved the "Work Report of the Fourth Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Industry Joint Union Committee" presented by Vice President and Union Chairman Zhou Gan, as well as the "Report on Financial Revenue and Expenditure from September 2024 to September 2025" presented by Supervisory Chairman Chen Yang. These reports provided a detailed account of the joint union's work and achievements over the past year, serving as a bridge between employees and the enterprise. The financial report of the association also demonstrated that the association's financial situation showed a promising outlook of "compliance in revenue and expenditure and stable operation".
Collaboration among government, schools and enterprises has yielded new achievements. The association signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering College of Wenzhou University on-site, and held a ceremony to award the plaque. Both parties will jointly build an advanced manufacturing training base for the fastener industry, and will integrate the entire chain of training, research and production manufacturing for improvement.
Subsequently, the conference announced the new list of the association's executive vice presidents, vice presidents, directors and members. It also commended individuals and enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to the establishment of the association over the past 20 years, and awarded them with honors such as the Merit Award, Contribution Award, Industry Promotion Award, Leading Enterprise Award, and Sailing Through Difficulties Together Award.
Subsequently, Xue Kangsheng, the vice president of the China General Machinery and Components Industry Association and the president of the Fastener Branch, and Wang Zhenjian, a member of the Party Committee and vice president of the Wenzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, delivered speeches. They highly praised the development achievements of the association over the past 20 years and encouraged Wenzhou's fastener industry to lead the way again, promoting industry development and ensuring that Wenzhou's "Fastener Capital" title continues to shine globally.
The 20th anniversary celebration event of the Wenzhou Fastener Industry Association received sincere congratulations from several affiliated industry associations. Each association expressed their warm wishes and presented exquisite gifts.
Twenty years mark a milestone, but also represent a new beginning. Standing at the cusp of profound adjustments in the global industrial chain, the Wenzhou Fastener Association will lead its member enterprises to continuously imbue the concept of "small screws with great meaning" with new era significance, continuously exerting the role of a "chain", and leading the industry development with a more professional stance.
